Volunteer!Nov 13, 2015The United Nations Volunteers (UNV) Mongolia, together with Mongolian Network of Volunteer Organizations (MNVO) and other local partners, host the annual celebration of the International Volunteer Day (IVD) 2015 between 3 and 5 December 2015. IVD 2015 will not only celebrate volunteerism in all its facets, but also emphasize volunteers’ contributions to the new Sustainable Development Goals or Global Goals, from children to the elderly.

A group of 18 Kazakh women entrepreneurs; representatives of the National Commission for Women Affairs, Family and Demographic Policy, Ministry of National Economy, the Agency for Civil Service Affairs and Combating Corruption, and the JSC "Fund for Financial Support of Agriculture"; civil society leaders; and UNDP Kazakhstan staff visited Mongolia from 7 to 9 October 2015.
National Consultaton Meeting on VolunteerismJun 10, 2015In previous years Mongolia witnessed progressive dialogues and cooperative efforts towards the enabling environment creation for volunteerism promotion in the country, which was led by the Office of the President of Mongolia and civil society partners. Currently there are many more promising discussions going on in relation to promotion of volunteerism, civic engagement and youth roles in the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) not only at the national level but also at regional and global level.

The First Ever Induction Training for All Local Elected RepresentativesFeb 17, 2014The 3-day Induction training for all local elected representatives started on 17 February 2014 in Bulgan, Dundgobi and Dornod aimags. The training is being organized by aimag council (hural) secretariats under the project “Capacity Strengthening of Local Self-Governing Bodies”. A total of over 900 elected representatives of these 3 aimags are attending the training, which covers seven key topics: Legal environment, hural procedures, public participation, human rights and gender, and environment and green development.
